Apple iPhone 5 Review

As expected apple has launched next version if iPhone named iPhone 5. Apple have done some design changes in iPhone5. 

iPhone 5 is much thinner and lighter as compare to iPhone 4S. It is having 4 inch retina display, ultra fast wireless access, A6 chip to batter performance, iSight camera with panorama shoots and will we having iOS6.

Before concluding anything lets have a detailed look on main features

1. All New Design: Apple has redesign the iPhone 5. It is 18% thinner, 20% tighter and having 12% less volume.
2. 4 inch Retina display: Screen size is bigger than the iPhone 4s. It is having 326 pixels per inch.  iPhone 5 is nearly 9 millimeters taller than iPhone 4S, but it’s the same width. So it’s just as easy to type with one hand.
3. Ultrafast wireless: iPhone is having LTE support for wireless network. Apple has optimized the LTE for batter battery life.
4. A6 Chip: As per apple A6 chip is twice the faster than A5 chip. With A6 chip CPU performance of iPhone 5 will be faster. Graphic performance also be twice the faster than A5 chip.
5. EarPods: New headphone with batter design and sound performance.

Price of iPhone 5 will be same as what was for iPhone 4s. So with this iPhone is going to be best seller phone again.

iPhone 5 looks far ahead of Nokia Lumia, GALAXY S3 and GALAXY Note 2.

iOS 6

               Apple's next generation OS for iPhone, iPad and iPOD touch iOS 6 is releasing on 12th Sep 2012. Apple is adding some new features in iOS6 and some design changes also done for some apps.

Here are some features of the iOS6.

Maps: iOS 6 will be having new Maps application developed by Apple. It will be having turn by turn navigation. So Google Maps will not be the native app in iOS6.

Sire: Siri is coming to new iPad ( iPad3) with iOS 6. With iOS6 Siri will support new languages and countries.

Facebook: Facebook will deeply integrated in iOS6. Now share anything from iOS6.

Shared Photo Stream: Now with iOS6 share your photos with the people of your choice.

Passbook: Carry your airlines tickets, movie tickets, coupons and many more with the new app passbook.

Facetime: Now with iOS 6 facetime will work the cellular calls also.

Phone: Reply with message, Remind me later, Send to voicemail.

Mail: Apple has redesigned the mail application for iOS6 with VIP list, so no more unwanted pop ups for mail.

Safari: For batter web browsing. 

Accessibility: For guided access. 

Kindle Fire HD 8.9" 4G Tablet Review

AMAZON has launched new version of it table "Kindle Fire HD". 

It as in direct competition with new iPad and Galaxy Tab.

The previous version of Kindle Fire was impressive and the acceptation is that the Kindle Fire HD will not disappoint the consumers.

Its come in 2 variant with 4G LTE and without it.

So here is the features of Kindle Fire HD :-

• Dual band, dual antenna wi-fi.
• 1.5 dual core processor.
• Free unlimited cloud storage of Amazon content.
• 1920x1200 HD display.
• Dolby audio and dual stereo speaker.
• Free Skype video calls.
• Kindle FreeTime ( for kids)
• Prime Instant Video.
• Kindle Owner's Lending Library.
• $499 for $G HD LTE Model and $299  HD.

The standout feature here is dual wi-fi antenna. This will increase the wi-fi speed amazingly. As per amazon wi-fi on new Kindle Fire HD is 41% faster than iPad3( new iPad) and 54% faster than Google tablet.

Overall I am seeing Kindle Fire HD as a amazing tablet and it is having price for money.

Windows Phone 8 OS

First Samsung and then Nokia preview their Windows Phone 8 mobiles. So in this blog we will see the the all about Windows Phone 8 OS.

Here is the some features:-

• Bigger Screens: 1280x786 and 1280x720 is the new screen resolutions supported by Windows Phone 8. So in the coming time we will see the handsets with HD 720p displays.
• IE 10: Browser in Windows Phone 8 will have the same web browsing engine which is in Windows 8.
• Wallet: Windows Phone 8 will have new digital wallet feature. User can keep Debit card, credit card, boarding passes in it and can also pay at counters if paired with SIM.
• Nokia Maps:  Windows Phone 8 will be having Nokia Maps as part of platform.
• Removable microSD cards: With this features you can easy transfer your data ( music, photos, movies etc)  between your mobile and any other device supporting microSD card.
• NFC wireless sharing:  Windows Phone 8 comes with NPC support. So share anything with any device in sort distance which is having NFC support.
• Multi core processor:  Windows Phone 8 supports multi core processor. So vendor will have more choice to power their product.

Windows Phone 8 will be having something new for developers:-

• Native code support:  Windows Phone 8 will have full support for C and C++, so developer can built applications for multiple platform easily.  Windows Phone 8 also has full support for gaming middleware and native DirectX based gaming support.
• In-app purchase:  In Windows Phone 8 app makers can sell their virtual or digital goods within their apps.
• VoIP apps:  Windows Phone 8 provide support for developing Integrated Internet Calling (VoIP) apps that plug into  Windows Phone 8's existing calling feature ( same calling interface for calls and internet calls).

Windows Phone 8 @ work

• Company hub and apps: Windows Phone 8 Hub can be created by companies as per their need ( custom employee apps etc).
• Better Security
• Device encryption: In  Windows Phone 8 entire device can be encrypted including OS and data files
• Remote management. 

Based on the features Windows Phone 8 looks promising. Its is looking batter than Android.

Windows Phone 8 is also having some drawbacks as :

• Won't support old hardware so old windows mobile will not be able to use  Windows Phone 8  on it.
• Non customisable. Vendors can not add apps as part of platform.
• dual core processor can reduce the battery life.

Nokia Lumia 920 Review

  Finally Nokia unveiled Lumia 920, the latest phone in Lumia series and first on Windows Phone 8 from Nokia. Nokia calling it a comeback phone.

This is first of kind of device which will be having wireless charging ( and it will increase the price of the mobile) and you need to purchase extra accessories for that.

At a glance it is good looking phone with Windows 8 mobile OS. There is no doubt about the quality of the Nokia phones.

Nokia is aiming to regain the mobile market with this new launch. It is looking very difficult to regain the market again but from here with this phone Nokia can compete with Samsung GALAXY ans iPhone. 

Lets have a look about the spec and features:-

• Wireless charging.
• Windows Phone 8 OS.
• Dual Core 1.5 GHz processor.
• 1 GB RAM
• Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G Connectivity.
• Office Applications.
• 8.7 Megapixel Camera.
• Wi-Fi Hotspot.
• All other standard specs and application.

Specification wise Lumia 920 looks promising. The only draw back is lack of application for Window Phone 8.

Currently Lumia can give a run of money for GALAXY S3 and iPhone 4s. Hope with this consumers will have more options.

Price is not announced and it will be launched at the year end ( no specific date available.)

Samsung GALAXY Camera Review

Camera. Reborn.

This is what Samsung's tag line for GALAXY Camera and after seeing the feature and specifications I can say that the above mentioned tag line by Samsung is absolutely correct and after reborn camera become smart. So GALAXY Camera is not a camera, it is smart camera.

Android has changed the face of Smart Phones and now it is ready to change the face of digital cameras. 

After Smart TV from SAMSUNG, Smart Watch from SONY not Smart Camera from SAMSUNG.

Samsung is one of the best company which is using Android very effectively. GALAXY Camera is the first camera which will have Android (Jelly Bean) on it.

Lets see the specification and features of the GALAXY Camera:-

• Android (Jelly Bean) OS.
• 16:9 HD(1280X720) Super Clear Touch Display.
• 21x 16.3 Megapixel Camera. 
• Voice Control.
• 3G and Wi-Fi.
• Auto Cloud Backup.
• Slow Motion Video.
• Powerful editing feature.
• Smart Content Manager.
• Price might be $600 - $700, not sure about the price.

Based on the spec and features GALAXY Camera will be a good product and surely it is well ahead of other Cameras present in the market. 

Lets see what the competitors will introduce to catch up the  GALAXY Camera. May be we will see more smart cameras in the future but SAMSUNG is surely is winner by presenting first SMART CAMERA.

The only disappointing thing is the 16.3 MP lances of the camera. I was expecting something about 20+ MP since Nokia already launched 40 MP in mobile phone. But 16.3 is not less.  

Samsung GALAXY Note2 Review

As promised here is my first mobile review.

Samsung GALAXY  Note2 unveiled on 4th September 2012. It is the latest offering from Samsung after GALAXY S3. Note1 is the pretty good phone and Note2 added some more features in that.

The first thing I like in Note series is it's design. With one device you get the feel of two types of gadgets(smartphone & tablet). Below is the some features:- 

• Note2 is loaded with Android 4.1 (aka Jelly Bean)  which is the latest Android with lots of new features and improved performance.
• Note2 is also having support for 4G LTE (100 Mbps/50 Mbps).
• HD Super AMOLED display.
• 2GB RAM.
• 1.6 GHz quad-core processor. 
• 16/32/64 User Memory
• microSD slot (up to 64 GB).
• Bluetooth 4.0.
• USB 2.0 Host
• 1 Step tasking/ multitasking features.
• 8 MP Auto Focus camera.
• 1.9 MP front camera.

Price in India as heard will be approx (38200/- INR).

Based on features and price it must be a good buy. This mobile will give the tough competition to GALAXY S3 and iPhone 4S.
